Lightning Struck Studios E-Mail: mperry@lightningstruck.com Bio Michael (Mike) Perry - Studio Owner and Engineer My musical interest began in the late seventies while playing in garage bands that featured original music. Eventually we started playing clubs in the Indianapolis area. I moved to Atlanta, GA in the eighties to attend college and played with the alternative band "Atomic Squash." The band included Dr. Walter (Steve) Stevens, who also owned a project studio in his home. Dr. Stevens, who went on to co-own the commercial studio "Zone Light" in Decatur, GA and the label "Crash Bang Wallop", shared his experience, knowledge, and some nice gear. After returning to Indiana, I resumed playing as a duo in dinner clubs and began recording original demos for local songwriters. After growing tired of performing, and the increased interest in demo recording that was being done, I decided it was necessary to expand to a full-service project studio. As with all project studios that started as a hobby gone wild, the search for equipment has been never-ending. The quest for that "desired" sound has consumed a number of years with many projects coming and going. The goals of this project studio have never changed. That is to provide good, clean, easy to listen to recordings at reasonable rates. Lightning Struck Studios provides a relaxed atmosphere with an engineer that cares about the needs, wants, and budget of its' clients. Mike Perry
